Tranquil PC, 29th September 2011
Today saw the completion and handover of a number of concepts to the production team. The concept of super rugged, thin, fan less, systems is now a reality.
Below Paul Baxter (RBS) on the left holds a completed system, whilst Tom Brown (Lombard) in the centre holds an original billet of aluminium. Phillip Thompson (Tranquil) to the right proudly holds the machined and anodised body.
The return of this level of engineering and manufacturing to the UK is especially important, not only to Tranquil, but to UK PLC. With all the doom and gloom in the news on a daily basis, it’s a relief from time to time to hear some good new like this. RBS and Lombard, who are supporting Tranquil in new investments, are very keen to see more of the same.
There are already 5 different ‘styles’ of systems created, from super low profile (shown above) units powered by i3 and i5 CPUs, to single and multi HDD chassis for dedicated applications.
Watch this space for further developments.
